Done by Jesse Neuman Fallen Owl Tattoo Denver CO
This is my latest tattoo right after it was done. It is inspired by The Beatles song Blackbird, written by Paul McCartney. It’s a line, “Take these broken wings and learn to fly…” I love the song and I love The Beatles but more importantly my dad loves The Beatles and it has always been this weird thing we have in common. I have gotten him a Beatles related gift for his birthday/father’s day repeatedly. I probably wouldn’t love most of the music I do now if it wasn’t for my dad, we are so similar, but so different. I live far away from him now, but this way I can always think how awesome my daddy is.
The line from the song hits it pretty well also, I read/hear it and see how many broken things happen in life and realize there is always healing no matter the situation. Pretty much just keep pressing forward and thins get better.
Went to the midnight premiere of The Hunger Games, it wasn’t how I envisioned it, but it was good. THe movie hit on all the main points. There was just a lack of character building, and that may have been my disconnect from the characters on the screen. I didn’t know their story from the film, only from the book.
I’m really sleepy, but I shall continue this tomorrow!
